I remember having a conversation around 20 years or so ago with Thea King,
who was of course married to Jack Thurston, about his recordings -or the
lack of them. In fact, she reminded me of the conversation quite recently
on the phone, to our mutual amusement.

There are a number of recordings of Thurston, but Thea always says that he
wasn't happy with them, so she doesn't want to release them.

I made the point that I'm not happy with *my* recordings *either*, so why
should *he* get special treatment?!

To which Thea had replied, "Well, he should because he was *my husband*!
