I wasn't thinking about what players would *say* about how their teachers
influenced them, but rather about whether that influence is visible from
outside.

I'd say that though it sometimes is visible, it's very much more often not.

Shameful, isn't it?

It's just that I'm teaching in Siena for a month, and I haven't got round to
setting up my Psion Netbook with an ISP here. The Internet Train service
here has ADSL at 2Mb/sec, so a web-based subscription seemed most
convenient.

But as I've said several times, I don't know how those of you who use it on
a regular basis can put up with it.

I'm still subscribed at home, so I suppose there'll be around 1500 messages
sitting on my hard disc when I get back. But at least I won't have to read
them.....
