Subj: [kl] Sony Walkman Pro Cassette Recorder
Date: Sun, 30 Jul 2000 20:44:11 -0400

There have been several discussions on point. I own a Sony Walkman Pro
(cassette) with a decent microphone..

However, Mark is correct when he speaks of the ease of use of the minidisc,
as well you would have to give a look to a DAT recroder which can be
purchased on eBay for less than one might think.

My Walkman Pro Cassette is ok, but its definitely not up to the quality of
these two other recorders, which are also made by Sony --- amongst many
vendors.

" The complete description is: WM-D3 Walkman Professional Stereo
Cassette-Corder. This is the kind of stuff that is easily ordered on-line if
there's no store in the area. A quick search on www.google.com shows it
available for $157.00. A decent mike (around $200.00 or so) and you've got a
pretty good combo. I went with MiniDisc for ease of on-the-spot editing
(since I record other things) but this is a fine choice for an inexpensive
cassette tape recorder."
