If I could add one further point: if you are not your own worst critic, you
are not developing your critical faculties enough (no matter how good you
are). In addition, that means someone else WILL be. You definately don't want
that to happen!

You will find this to be true among the world's greatest musicians, they
might have big egos, but they are still very self-critical (conductors
excluded, perhaps).
