I love Rota...is anyone else familiar with his film suite music? La Strada
is my favorite. I have a good recording of Riccardo Muti conducting the
aforementioned work plus Il Gattopardo and a Suite for strings. It's lovely
music. At the end of Il Gattopardo, it sort of reminds me of "Take Mem Out
to the Ball Game" in a strange, waltz-like way.
