<chuckle!> Your question makes me think of my granddaughter who is
continuing to learn the violin, but sometimes she resists her practice
sessions:
"I just want to play, Mom, not practice."
The answer to your question is that I never feel pain of any sort,
even when I'm tired. My facial muscles just turn flabby.
I do, in fact, practice for 15-20 minutes, then read some messages
on the Internet, and then return to my music stand.
Obviously enough, each time that I start up again, I am not at the
same strength as during my first 15-minute session. This is what
started me to wonder about recuperation periods and the effect (if any)
of pushing oneself just a little bit farther.
