Subj: [kl] Pain in upper teeth

I'm just teaching my course in Siena at the moment, & so am
subscribed in this funny way.

There's a student who has problems with pain in her *upper* teeth
when she plays. But it's not a problem confined to clarinet
playing, as she can't eat hard fruit and so on without suffering
at times.

She's gone into all the double lip practising and so on (rather too
much in my opinion, as she has rather long upper teeth, and finds
it physically inconvenient) and the whole situation naturally
occupies her mind to the detriment of her concentration on the
music.

Dentists say that there's nothing 'wrong' that they can find,
apparently.

I searched the archives, but found no reference to this particular
problem.

Anyone? Nancy?

Tony
