An interesting generalization. "According to many" *who*? I play single
and double lip interchangeably (i.e.; with equal comfortability and facility)
and have done so for many years. There is no difference for me in my ability
to control tone, or any other aspect of clarinet technique. I'd like to hear
from others who have developed equal comfortability with both embouchure styles.
