All of these petition emails are pretty well useless, as they don't have
verifiable signatures. This same "hoax" (maybe too strong a word) also
circulates re: NEA funding.

If you want to know about preserving African Blackwood, look on my web
page for the link to other clarinet web sites, which has a link to the
African Blackwood conservation project. Lots of good info there - can't
remember if there are any action requests there - haven't had the time to
visit for a while.
