Of course, the best possible excerpt source is no excerpt at all: obtain
the full clarinet part. Even an error-ridden Kalmus part is better than
a half-page reproduction of the main solo. You can take that to Borchert,
have him help you pencil in the corrections, and then you have the whole
part to follow as you listen to your favorite recording in preparation
for the audition.
