Not familiar with it. On the other hand, I noticed that my
posting of the Daniel Wolff Clarinet Concerto (2000), which I commissioned and premiered this April in Brazil, generated virtually no responses or reactions from anyone on this list.
So, I'm agin inviting people to check it out by going to my webpage: http://garydranch.musicpage.com, where they can stream
or download the entire concerto (it's divided into 3 movements on mp3 files because it's so hige--26Mb!). It's twenty-five minutes long, scored for clarinet in A and string orchestra, and very Brazilian in style. It has a neat perpetuo moto cadenza in the middle of the first movement. I'm hoping to premiere in in the U U.S. next year. I'm greatful for anyone's candid posting a response/review of this work. I'm sure the composer would also appreciate feedback as well. By the way, the work has been submitted for publication, and the piano-reduction score is being completed as I write this. The commerical CD will be released in Brazil in October 2000. (The mp3 files on my website are from the live World Premiere performance).
