I'll make a bet that Jim gets on in a couple of days after catching up
on the email. I'm back home right now. Their booth (well, all the booths
really) were quite busy and we didn't really get time to talk.

I did get to meet quite a few "Klarinetters" that I hadn't met before!
We're already starting to work on both next years' ClarinetFest and the
Stockholm one. Next years will be held in New Orleans at the Riverfront
Hilton, Aug. 12-16 (I think - I could be wrong - it might be 14-18). A
Dixieland cruise on the Mississippi, about a 50-50 mix of jazz and
classical this time, Buddy DeFranco, Al Gallodoro, and of course Pete
Fountain are scheduled to play already, the casino is across the street,
a "pub crawl" is being planned (vouchers for drinks in some of the
famous Rue Carre' jazz nightspots). The hotel is one of the best in New
Orleans and they're giving reduced rates - it'll be pricier than most of
you may be used to, but if you start planning now and share a room it
should be affordable. The prices for rooms are (from memory, but close):
$100/night single, $120/night double, and $140/night for 4. There's
plenty to do in New Orleans for the entire family, so it'd be a really
nice vacation for everyone!
