Ed and Carol,
Look at the last word you used, - at the bottom of the page. It is the word
<stiffer>.
Am I going loony or are you? Will this process work with <all> reeds? And
are you talking about cane
or plastic i.e. synthetic reeds? Sorry to be so precise, but to use the word
<stiffer> is surely incorrect?

The next day the reed will be very slightly stiffer.
