It was, at a Roger Williams concert I played a few years ago. Yet the
other orchestra members were so stiff about it, I was embarrassed to be
on stage with them. Sometimes we symphonic players take ourselves a
little too seriously. What a contradiction: we goof off and improvise
like monkeys during warm-ups, but when given the chance to have a little
fun in performance, everybody freezes up!
