Yes indeed, it was the WWS playing in the park just south of Bellevue
Square.
I don't know of any appropriate groups on Wednesday nights. Many of the
orchestras in the area rehearse on Wednesdays -- Seattle Phil, Orchestra
Seattle and my own Northwest Symphony Orchestra -- but I don't think that a
high school junior is going to get a seat in the clarinet section. None of
the concert bands I am familiar with rehearse on Wednesday nights; but since
I've had the NWSO gig (about 11 years) I haven't looked. Perhaps you should
look at the community band web page: http://www.asband.org/commgroups.html.
. . . since you're a junior is high school, though, there should be multiple
playing opportunities for you that aren't available for most adults. I
assume that you play in your HS band (but are bored w/ it?). If not, you
should. (Which HS, btw? I probably know your director - result of advanced
age). There are also a bunch of youth symphonies around, but it's been
years since I had any contact w/ them.
Do you have a private teacher? They should know of other opportunities as
well.

Just being nosy-- Where did you play on the 4th? I assume it was
with the Washington Wind Symphony?
Do you know about any groups that play on Wednesday that would be
appropriate for a high school junior? Everyone seems to play Tues or
Thurs around here (Bothell/Woodinville)
