Subj: [kl] Interesting Tunes for 9 year old girl

I have a 9 year old girl who is too young for the band program but is a very
good private student. She has played since January of this year. She has
expressed a deep interest in playing real "songs" vs. the usual stuff in the
method books. Most of my students are advanced in age so I am not sure what
material would interest a 9 year old. My young performer is a flute student
of mine, although I imagine this to be a common problem for instructors of
any instrumental persuasion.

I am prepared to produce my own material on Encore for her if I knew what
songs would interest her.
