Different strokes for different folks, but -- I normally play V12 3.5's. I
have tried three Legere's (3, 3.5, 3.75) and don't like any of them. Even
the bet (for me) of them (the 3.75) has a tendency to "buzz" at high
volumes, and seems hard to control at low volumes, In addition, my lip
slips around on the smooth surface, and the sharp corners cut into my lip.
Sometime I may get up the courage to try removing the sharp corners, but
for now, they are serving as "desperation" backups, and as reeds I can
efficiently sterilize so I can lend them to folks in need.
