The U.S. Copyright Code is conveniently available online and addresses the issues mentioned
above. In preparation for my interview for Publications Director at a music publishing com-
pany in NYC, I printed out the code and read it cover to cover. Interesting stuff, especial-
ly for us musicians (nah, I didn't get the job).
