I hope they DON'T decide to soak us that way. With the prices of CD-ROMs
going down so much, they must now be very much cheaper than printing a
whole set of music, and you then have to use your OWN paper and ink! They
also take less storage space, and in fact, will hardly have to be
warehoused at all, since they can be burned to order from the master at any
time. Let them make up the extra royalties out of THAT! (Unrealistic,
yes, but we can always hope!)

I guess I'm lucky. I have only one performance today, and the predicted
high is only around 80 up here. It is an outdoor performance with the
Saginaw (MI) Eddy Concert Band, in which I am playing 1st chair 2nd
clarinet. We usually play on Sundays during the summer, but this concert
was moved for the 4th. We have a program of the usual Sousa marches, a Bob
Hope medley, Gould's "American Salute," etc. Have fun!
