Won't it be great when, in a few years, all of these pieces will be stored
by the publishers as computer files instead of printing plates, and errors
will be correctable with a few keystrokes? Corrected copies will be
downloadable on the Internet? Site licenses will make photocopying
concerns obsolete? I know *I* do not plan to hold my breath while I wait
for these things to happen, but it seems nearly inevitable that they will,
even in as tradition-bound an industry as music publishing.
