I've bought several instruments thru eBay. I'm very satisfied with the
service. Nobody is trying to cheat anybody with eBay. On the contrary,
everybody is VERY concerned with maintaining a good eBay record. The
eBayers I have dealt with have been friendly, honest and helpful. I always
have phone conversations with sellers during the course of the auction.
These conversations are informative and always fun. I've had them go on for
half an hour...or more.

If you know what make and model of horn you want there is a 90% chance
you'll be delighted with your purchace. The serial number will tell you the
horn's age. The seller will tell you the condition of the wood, pads,
keywork, etc. If there is a good picture your eyes will tell you alot ,
too. No horn is perfect even when brand new, however defects are, somehow,
less galling in a used one!

If you just don't like your purchace simply sell it with eBay. Selling is
lots of fun, too. You might even make a profit!
