Thank you. In fact a hearty thank you to all of those who took the time to
help me find the answer to that little mystery. Out of all the suggestions
made I think the best of the lot as far as probability went was that it was
a "stencil" horn. However that's just speculation. Regardless, I don't
really think it's worth putting the money into to refurbish it, but it is
worth hanging on to because of the family "attachment". Now I'll just bide
my time until I can purchase a new one. The transmission in my car went out
yesterday so there goes the money I was going to buy a new clarinet wiht.
