It was all in ASCII. The Independent is a London newspaper, and the
review, of a recent London concert, was written by Annette Morreau.

She began with a quote from Feuermann, about whom she is in fact writing
a book, continued with her description of the concert and her reactions,
and signed her name at the end.

One of the interesting things about this is that although it appeared in
the newspaper, and although other similar articles are in fact webbed up
on the Independent website, this particular article has not been made
available by them on the net.

I wondered whether it was a bit rude about some quite powerful people
for them to want to make it more available.

No, surely not.

They did publish several letters supportive of the article's stance.

Yes. I believe he now calls himself, "Kennedy", choosing to ignore
possible confusion with an American of the same name.

I did wonder whether to put an explanatory gloss on it for y'all, but
then thought of some of the US arcana that *we* have to puzzle over on
the list sometimes....

:-)

I posted it, in fact, primarily to see what the American response was.
Do you have a similar phenomenon occurring 'over there'?
