Subj: [kl] Ashmore/Finzi/Osborn for cl/string QUARTET

I love the recording of the Ashmore "Four Seasons" and the Finzi
arrangement as well. I liked the idea of the Bagatelles with strings, but
thought an orchestra was too big, so I made my own arrangement for a more
intimate ensemble. It really looks like Finzi was thinking beyond the
piano when he wrote all the different voices, and the markings in the piano
part.

Finzi Bagatelles for Clarinet and String Quartet.

I sent it to Boosey and Hawkes (evil company) who promptly ignored me.
Anyone who would like a score and string parts to this arrangement can buy
one from me for $16. Also, please write/call/email Boosey, and tell them
you heard about an arrangement of this piece for String Quartet by Sean
Osborn, and when will it be available from them. Maybe that will light a
fire under their behinds.

It really works quite beautifully with strings, and the quartet I played
with thought it was original becuase it works so well.
