1) Just a thought about our over-active poster from Lamar (I'll take a
wild guess and speculate that it is Luby Demond Jackson, a Junior music
major at Lamar Univ. in Beaumont, TX - but that's just a guess) - has
anyone trying to get through to his planet ever offered the notion that
Klarinet is NOT a chat-room? All his responses suggest that he can't
tell the difference between a chat room and.. uh... whatever you call
Klarinet. Perhaps that concept, if it can be successfully delivered and
absorbed, will calm the waters.

2) As one with nearly 40 years of experience in undisciplined, irregular
practicing, I am very familiar with the problem of getting pharyngeal
failure (pharyngeal phailure?) after a long practice session following a
period of not practicing, be it a week or a month or whatever. Ed Lacy
discussed this some time back and advised his students that as soon as
it starts happening, to stop practicing and give your pharynx (or
whatever is leaking) a rest for the rest of the day. Eventually you
build up strength and you stop getting this "blow-by" (I hope I got
that right, Ed - please correct me if I didn't). From the description
provided, I'm guessing that this is also what is meant by "bang" (not to
be confused with "bhang, of course).
