Do it. (please...)

I just worked my way through the emails which had arrived since 26 June at 2200h BST. Of 250 (ish),
almost 100 were from LDJ. And almost all of these were looking for information readily available
elsewhere (the archives, a cheap musical dictionary, books in the college library etc.)

Most people in the UK pay per-minute telephone charges for internet/email access. Those of us who
don't (which thankfully includes myself) pay a fixed monthly charge either to the ISP or the phone
company, but this has only become available in the past month or two. It costs us time and money to
download email. It's particularly time-intensive cos I've configured NAV to scan all incoming email.

I'm reluctant to create a message rule to delete all LDJ's posts in case the lesson is learnt and
they turn into something worthwhile. I know it's a long shot, but you never know. Besides don't
message rules act once the message is downloaded, and so the only thing this would save would be my
delete button?

I don't want to see anyone prohibited from this list. Klarinet is a good list, and if we start
excluding people, where do we stop?

Is it possible to limit the number of daily posts from any specified account to (for example) 5,
thus LDJ would have to think carefully before using one of his/her daily allocation?

Just a thought...

Ian
