I bought a set of parlor pipes (smaller size than full size pipes) last
year to try out for fun. Besides being fun to play, the strange things
for me are:
-No keys!
-One scale, can't do accidentals
-Very limited range - 9 notes
-A real pain to tune
-The fingering is off from any of the other instruments I play, i.e. 3
fingers down on the left hand isn't a C or a G, it is a D! Sorta like
sight transposing.
-All the ornamentation is amazing! Playing would be a cinch if it
weren't for that.

Beyond that, it is a gas!
