This happens to me a lot when I over-play my embouchure. For me, it is th=
e
result of muscles being so tired, I can no longer control where the airst=
ream
is going. When I hit that point, I'm usually gone for the rest of the day=
=2E
Luckily, I've never had this happen anywhere besides private practice.

I also have a barely clarinet related question for the list. I have taken=
up a
new hobby: I joined a bagpipe band. Has anyone else out there played the
pipes? If so, how do you feel they compare to the clarinet as far as
difficulty? Mostly I'm just curious to hear anyone else's experiences wit=
h
