Thanks for this splendid advice. My horn doens't come apart in the middle,
should I purchase a horn that DOES come apart in the middle?

I'm torn between a Pomarico and Vandoren mouthpiece at this point.

There was a guy who was going to make me a mouthpiece, but I'm unsure of his
intentions because I've seen hate mail from him. He could be a wacko!
