I can agree with that. I actually heard something else of his (on my way to
the mall, incidentally, and was so focused on my shopping blitz at hand took
no recolleciton of the name of the piece), but only got that it was by
Coates. I really enjoyed it, but, like I said...

Perhaps it's because Eric Coates, although he may have chosen to write
so-called "light" music, was a consummate craftsman whose music was always
ideal for its purpose, in this case a patriotic film. He is frequently
underrated, unjustly so I think.
