Klarinet Archive - Posting 001047.txt from 2000/06
From: Klarhorn@-----.com Subj: [kl] Hans Rudolf Stalder Date: Mon, 26 Jun 2000 00:11:25 -0400
Vintage Stalder recordings not to my knowledge on CD:
C. Graupner, Overture (Suite) in Bb for chalumeau (sopranino)
J. Stamitz, Concerto in Bb.
Both on original (or reproduction) instruments.
Molter, 4 concerti for clarinet in D
Hans Ulrich Lehmann, Mosaik for Klarinette ( I have two recordings of this
and Stalder wins hands down.) It actually sounds like a real piece of music,
and it is.
Mozart Divertiment for 3 Basset Horns and Nocturni for 3 Basset Horns and 3
voices.
(Oops, mistaken. These are on CD --Jecklin Edition JD 549-2)
Wladimer Vogel, Arpiade for Soprano, Flute, Clarinet, Viola, Cello and Piano.
Mozart, Grand Partita. Ocophorus (original inst.)
Spohr, Clarinet 5 tet
The Spohr is a real tour de force. One of the things that separates the great
artist from the good players, is that a great artist has the ability to make
a potentially 2nd rate piece of music sound truly first rate, both
technically and artistically.
If anyone out there has more Stalder recordings, let me know how I can get a
copy. If you are interested in any of the stuff I have, let me know.
Cheers,
Keith Anderson
