It's interesting to play around with those scales (on the Freaky
Guitar web page) because you discover quickly that some of the scales
'fit' the rich tone of a clarinet, and some positively do not.
My musical imagination, such as it is, tells me that some of those
scales would be interesting on an instrument with fewer or more evenly
dispersed harmonics (I suppose this is the relevant parameter?), but
they fail miserably on clarinet.
