This is a question that I posted to the BBoard and got no replays. I hope
you boys and girls know more:

When I was still a student in the mid 70th, I purchased a Vandoren
mouthpiece model "55". I haven't seen this MP anywhere else and wonder if
anybody have some information. Like, when it first came out and when they
stopped making it or if anybody ever played one. The only thing I remember
about it is that it was pretty easy to find reeds that worked fine........I
wonder why I ever put it in the drawer to stay there?
