I am glad, you see, because hanging in my living room is a beautiful large
cuckoo clock that my parents bought for me in the Black Forest about twenty
years ago. I've always loved the clock, and I love the clarinet, and now I
see the connection. :)

(When crossing the border into France, the border guards asked my parents
what was in the large box in their car... My parents didn't speak French, so
my father pointed to his watch and my mother went, "Cuckoo, cuckoo!" He let
them through.)
