The Tony Pay recording is brilliant, with some amazing articulation absent
in many recordings on modern instruments. Does anyone know if there are
period recordings of the Spohr concerti (not including the Lawson recording
of 1), or the Crusell concerti?

It's weird how 'searching' works sometimes and doesn't work
other
times. Because Tony Pay posts here, I've wanted to buy one of his
recordings, but I've never been able to find one. Therefore I
jumped to
the false conclusion that he isn't recorded. But this conversation
about different versions of Mozart finally led me to "_Anthony_ Pay"
(which I purchased, of course).

So Tony, for the sake of your sales, you may want to consider
adding "Anthony" to your signature. <smile> (unless it's been
there
all along and I never noticed, I don't have one of your messages to
look
at right now)

Cheers,
Bill
