The most gawd-awful thing I've got in my record collection is the Luciano
Berio Sinfonia featuring The Swingle Singers and the New York Philharmonic
conducted by Berio. The reviews on the record jacket are a bit strained
("... a great many Philharmonic subscribers warmly applauded (to their own
great astonishment, I am sure) ...") and another reviewer, quoted in
Baker's, gives it the ultimate brief review - "It stinks."

Then again, some people consider it a masterpiece. I've only listened
through the 1st two sections, not wanting to go further.
