This has nothing to do with clarinets, but it tickles me so much
that I have to post.
My granddaughter subscribed to one of those telephone services
where kids can dial in and have a 'community chat' with anyone else who
happens to be on the line. So my granddaughter announced this new
technology to me. "Grandpa", she said, "don't you wish you had stuff
like this when you were a kid?"

....thinking of the old days with party lines and hand cranks. Now
you have to pay extra for it instead of less....
