This is a very frustrating attitude where-ever it is encountered.

Some people don't recognize the difference between an odd request made in
ignorance and the unusual request made in knowledge. The attitude that
one knows *all* the information on a subject is very dangerous, or at
least limiting.

For salespeople, reference librarians, teachers-- the art is in finding
the context level of the question so that answer can connect.
