<No angel at the middle.>

Maybe this answers Patty's question, why performers can vary from one
performance to the next. ;-)

Sometimes my clarinet has an angel in the middle, sometimes it *does
not*.

hmm. I haven't had a devil in my clarinet for many years.

But the lack of the angel when compared to when the angel is present
is disappointing enough.

And the presence or lack of the "angel" is a result of how i have
prepared, and how i focus my attitudes and awareness at the moment.

[the quote is a fortuitous typo in M.Hornberg's post. i am not making
comments to be disrespectful--the angle/angel spelling is one the
*amusing* quirks of the English language.
the whole sentence takes on extra meaning because i just finished
reading a book where a child described "Mister God is in my middle,"
using middle in the sense of center or heart. ]
