Subj: [kl] South American horn?
Date: Wed, 14 Jun 2000 10:23:15 -0400

Does anybody know the name of the South American horn (from the
Andes Mountain jungles, perhaps?) that produces a 'breathy' tone, low
with lots of reverberation, but not as low as a bass clarinet, almost
like the wind moving through trees? This horn is a cliche in the sound
tracks of films set in South American mountain jungles.

Thank you,
Bill
