The band at the University of Notre Dame is now significantly LARGER than
it was when I was there ('69-'73). I think it was mostly a limitation of
facilities. Our marching band was around 125 at the time, but not many
more could even FIT in the bandroom. Now they have a new band building,
and the marching band is over 300. The concert band is probably about the
same size it used to be (one busload), but can probably a good deal MORE
selective.
