Putting aside the question of one or two particular artists, what
really and truly saddens me is Metheny's opinion (I'm interpreting here,
not quoting, your mileage may vary, read it for yourself) that he
believes that talking on the Internet is just for the fun of playing
with language and words, and it has nothing to do with the music being
discussed, and nothing that he has or will read on the Internet will
ever affect his own playing or opinions.

Thank goodness not everyone feels this way.

I got into trouble here once before when I stated an unpopular
opinion, so I'm going to shut up now.... but Gee Whiz!
