Hi Bill,
For the C# add R.H. little finger on low E. I think it works also on the
corresponding G# - It`s a bit too early to think that far up, and if I blow
my clarinet, I will wake up my adult kids, (who were both out <most> of the
night doing <I don`t what>) who will then curse me for the rest of the week.
It`s called resonance fingering - "the more fingers you depress, the more
resonant the note becomes. You will discover that <closed> high F is better
than all the basic tutor book F`s.

Have you tried <all> R.H.down, pinky on low F for "A" 2nd space. This works
fine for the scales of F & G (not for D, and others) at medium to faster
tempi. For slow melody lines you will need to experiment with what gives you
the best intonation, (on your own instrument), as it is possible to also
include 2nd and 3rd fingers L.H., <and> R.H. also for that A. Don`t run
before you can walk tho` Bill. The most valuable <bit of a tip> is to not
worry at all with these resonant fingerings at present, but to keep all your
fingers moving as <evenly> as possible whilst at the same time playing your
scales <slowly>. Slow and even, slow and even, deep and crisp and - sod it -
start again - - - - - -
Hope this helps.
Tony W.
P.S. No more tips Bill, I`ll be getting booted off Klarinet by the other
teachers.
