On the subject of studio recitals, make sure you talk to the younger, less
experienced ones about stage nerves. I still remember my first performance
ever- it was a studio recital like this one, and I saw this girl panicking
in the warmup room, and she decided not to play at all. I didn't pay any
attention to it until my name was called one person too early, because that
girl was the one scheduled to go right before me. I was nervous enough
already, and that was quite the jolt for me.
