You can check the Klarinet archives and find about 60 bazillion posts on
this subject, but the short answer is that the reed that works best for
YOUR embouchure and YOUR mouthpiece is the best one for YOU. Vandorens are
certainly high quality reeds, so that is a good start. Strength is another
issue. Depending on which of my mouthpieces I am using, I personally use
anything from a Vandoren 2 1/2 or Mitchell Lurie 3 to a Mitchell Lurie 4 1/2.
