I've heard a horror story like this one, only worse. If you've got a weak
stomach, don't read on. This kid left her reed on but didn't play her
clarinet for two months or something like that, and then she tried to play
it again and couldn't get a sound. She removed the reed and found growing
in her reed...maggots. I just heard this story from someone...I don't know
if it's true but I hope it isn't!
