I, too, recently heard this recording on CBC. It really did sound fine. My
clarinet intincts told me that the first movement was really hard on the
clarinet, but Collins made it work just fine. The slow movement was
gorgeous. The last movement seemed down right clarinetistic. God only
knows were he he gulped his air! I'm gonna buy a copy.
