Muncy (and maybe others?) sell Steuer reeds, made for narrower German
mouthpieces, and also cut with a shorter vamp than the average
French/American reed. These work beautifully on Eb after shortening the
butt end of the reed a few mm. After shortening, they fit my Hite Eb mpc
very well, and had the right strength. But bring your bankroll - they
ain't cheap!
