It's also not a bad idea to try out White and Black Masters. I find that
BMs fit better on my Gennusa (which V12's are just a hair too wide for).
Unfortunately, I've got a six box backstock that I've been aging...and so
I have to stick with the V12s. ^_^

To be honest, I like the cut off V12's far better, even with the over
hang. That extra thickness in the reed keeps my upper register from being
too piercing (but hey, it's an Eb, you can only do SO much). Again, the
alternative is Black Masters, which are as thick as V12s, but for the most
part fit nicely (the tip is a little too wide, but the rest of the reed
fits perfectly - just sand away a little of the shoulders on each side and
it should be nice).

My three yen...for what it's worth. ^_^
