Hey, Shadow Cat, guess what, I can butt right in here any time I like and
make Lelia type what *I* want. I got somethin' to say about clarinets.
Nothin' you can do about it. Who am I? I'm Dick Vigorous, that's who. I'm
a rat, okay? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm a dirty rat. So what! What's it to ya?
You probably think you're better'n me or somethin', huh? Well, boo-hoo.
Take a running jump.

I ain't no tame rat, neither. Don't you wish. No, I ain't none of yer fancy
white lab rat wimps with them cute pink eyes. Know what they do to them
prissy little purebred rats? They lock 'em up in a cage. They feed 'em
special grub and they pet 'em and make nice to 'em, and then they stick
needles in 'em and make 'em sick, and then they kill 'em. No thanks. I live
where I want and I do what I damn please. Got a problem with that? Hey,
tame plump pussycat, sittin' on yer butt in the window sill, I notice that
for all yer swaggerin' around, you don't get out much, know what I mean?

Okay, okay, I'm not talkin' to Shadow Cat no more. I'm talkin' to the
clarinet players. Hey, you guys, I love nothin' better'n to lay around in
the attic and listen to Lelia's clarinet squawk and squeal, 'specially since
Shadow Cat hates it. I got sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, cousins,
whatever, livin' in all yer attics, too. We're a real big family and we all
love the clarinet. Just thought humans might wanna hear from somebody
besides them stuck-up cats, so's you'd know you got some fans.

Happy tootin' from
Dick Vigorous
